MIAMI— Coast Guard crews rescued a missing pilot of a downed Piper Cherokee single engine aircraft in the vicinity of Everglades National Park Monday.

Rescued was Daniel Lawrence.

Search-and-rescue coordinators at the Coast Guard 7th District command center in Miami received the report of the downed aircraft at about 8:30 a.m. Monday from Miami Missions Air Traffic Control Center.
