CG Airlifts Woman off Carnival Cruise Ship


A Coast Guard helicopter crew hoisted a woman off a Carnival cruise ship Wednesday after she injured her legs in a fall.

The Coast Guard in Miami said it received a call from the crew members onboard the Carnival Sensation about a 52-year old woman who had fallen in an elevator and severely injured both her legs.

A helicopter crew was dispatched to the Palm Beach Sea Buoy and safely hoisted the injured woman off the cruise ship. She was flew to St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach.

The woman was in stable condition.

Details about how the woman fell were not released.
