Islamabad - At least two people were killed Saturday in a suspected US drone attack in Pakistan's troubled north-western tribal region, a security official said.
The strike was carried out in Sheen Warsak region of South Waziristan, one of seven districts where Taliban militants are active.
A security official said that two missiles were fired at a vehicle carrying alleged militants.
"Two people were in the vehicle at the time of attack and both were killed," he said, on the condition of anonymity.
The identity of those killed was not known.
The US has increased drone attacks in the tribal region after recent tensions with Pakistan over the reopening of a NATO supply line, which was shut by Pakistan after last year's NATO border attack which killed 24 Pakistani soldiers.
