Derricke Dennis is a veteran journalist and accomplished broadcaster with a number of family members and close friends who have served our country as members of the Armed Forces. 

Derricke's radio and television credits include CBS News, FOX News, I24 News, and 1010 WINS radio in New York City.

Previously, Derricke served as an ABC News correspondent based in New York, where he substituted anchoring the network's overnight newscast "World News Now and America This Morning" while also filing reports for various other ABC News broadcasts, including Good Morning America, World News Tonight, ABC NewsOne, and ABC Audio.

Prior to ABC News, Derricke was a weeknight news anchor and host of “Stateside” for i24News, an hour-long global newscast delivering news and analysis on the latest developments in Washington, the Middle East and other hotspots around the world.

Known for his compassionate storytelling and in-depth reporting, Derricke has a solid track record of delivering breaking news, big stories, and features. Among his assignments: the Connecticut School Massacre, the Boston Marathon Bombing, Superstorm Sandy, and the last four White House administrations.

Derricke is a New Jersey native who grew up in Atlantic City. He’s a graduate of Howard University in Washington, D.C., with a degree in journalism from the prestigious John H. Johnson School of Communications.

He is also a proud life member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
