Veteran Denied Tip for Being a Lesbian

BRIDGEWATER, N.J., Nov. 16 (UPI) -- A New Jersey waitress who was stiffed on a check because she's gay has received tips and support from across the world after her story went viral on Facebook. Dayna Morales, 22, who served a tour in the Marines and works at Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater N.J., was working Wednesday when she approached the family of four. Upon introducing herself as Dayna, CNN reported, the mother allegedly said "I thought you were going to say your name is Dan." Morales served the family of four and handed them the bill for $93.55. In return, the woman, who the restaurant declined to identify, wrote "I'm sorry but I cannot tip because I don't agree with your lifestyle." Read more:
