SpaceX Launches Mission for U.S. Air Force

    The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carrying NOAA’s Deep Space Climate Observatory spacecraft, or DSCOVR, lifts off from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. DSCOVR is a partnership between NOAA, NASA and the U.S. Air Force, and will maintain the nation's real-time solar wind monitoring capabilities. The Falcon 9 rocket delivered the DSCOVR satellite to a 187 x 1,241,000 km orbit at 37 degrees.
