USS Wasp: Strike Missions against ISIL in Libya

MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Aug. 1, 2016) An AV-8B Harrier, attached to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 264, takes off from the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) to conduct strike missions against ISIL targets in Sirte, Libya Aug. 1, 2016. Wasp is deployed with the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group to support maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations.
