Ambush Kills 175 Militants in Syria
Large number of terrorists killed in an ambush in eastern Ghouta -- Upon intelligence information, a unit of the army killed members of an armed terrorist group, among them of Saudi, Qatari and Chechen nationalities, in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus countryside. A field commander told SANA delegate that a unit of the army pursued terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra and the so-called "Liwa al-Islam" while they were moving on al-Nashabiya-Adra-Dmeir and al-Qasab Beir-Jordan, killing more than 175 terrorists and injuring scores others. The commander added that the army process comes as a result of tightening the grip around the armed terrorist groups to prevent terrorists from infiltrating into the Eastern Ghouta. He affirmed that the armed group was trying to ease pressure on terrorists, who receive severe strikes from the Syrian army in al-Qalamoun, through brining terrorists, supported by western and regional states through the Jordanian borders.
