NATO Helicopter Fires on Taliban

NATO helicopter gunships attacked Afghan insurgents holed up in a building next to a construction site in the eastern province of Paktia on Sunday. The province on the Pakistani border has been plagued by violence for years. Taliban insurgents claimed responsibility for coordinated assaults on Sunday in different parts of the country. Gunmen launched multiple attacks in the Afghan capital Kabul, assaulting Western embassies in the heavily guarded, central diplomatic area and at the parliament in the west.
