John Kerry Give Dap to Snoop Dogg

Last night (Dec. 29), America tuned in to see Billy Joel, Carlos Santana and Herbie Hancock among the artists celebrated during the 36th Annual Kennedy Center Honors, which recognizes “living individuals who throughout their lifetimes have made significant contributions to American culture through the performing arts.” The exclusive event is held at the White House (this year on Dec. 8), and features all-star tributes to the honorees. Among this year’s performers: Snoop Dogg, who along with Beastie Boys DJ Mix Master Mike, joined such jazz legends as Terence Blanchard, Chick Corea and Marcus Miller for a performance of Herbie Hancock classics. Snoop Dogg has released a short video of his family’s trip to the White House (above), where he is caught exchanging pleasantries with the likes of singer Tony Bennett and Secretary of State John Kerry.
