SM-3 Intercepts Ballistic Missile Target


The U.S. and Japan successfully conducted the first intercept of a ballistic missile target using the Standard Missile-3 (SM-3) Block IIA, launching from the USS John Paul Jones Feb. 3 off the west coast of Hawaii.
