The Antarctic: A Posting Like No Other

The Antarctic Treaty of 1959 declared the region a non-military zone, preventing any army from establishing bases, holding exercises or testing weapons. For over a decade, RAF signallers have been carrying out works forces ARE allowed to undertake.
