An L-2M that was used at the U.S. Army Air Forces (AAF) Liaison Pilot Training School during World War II is now on display at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. In 2009, the donor, Dick Valladao, completed the restoration of the aircraft to its original Army specifications. In addition, much of the original equipment, such as an RCA radio receiver and transmitter and U.S. Army Signal Corps receiver earphones, was located and installed in the airplane to make the restoration as authentic as possible. As a more complete aircraft, this L-2M replaced the one that is currently in the museum's collection. This aircraft is now on public display in the World War II Gallery.
