On Thursday, 20 June 2013, a C-130J Hercules from RAAF Base Richmond's No. 37 Squadron visited Portland Airport in Victoria for a visit with Make-A-Wish Australia. During the visit, eight-year-old Bailey Delaney was brought by Make-A-Wish Australia volunteers for a VIP tour of the C- 130J Hercules by its crew. Make-A-Wish Australia is dedicated to granting the wishes of children with life- threatening medical conditions, and enriching the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The visit was also an opportunity for local police and children from a local primary school to tour the Hercules. Portland Airport is one of the number of locations utilised by the Air Force during its training, and the task on June 20 further honed the skills of Air Force crews in low-level navigation along the western Victoria coastline.
