DC just released the latest trailer for The Dark Knight Rises, just so we all don't forget about Batman in a week filled with news about The Avengers and Call of Duty.

Director Christopher Nolan has recruited Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard from the Inception crew, a move that makes this trailer look more like the fourth movie in a series rather than just Nolan's third (and final) Batman movie.  While Marvel's (awesome) Avengers movie makes good use of the neuroses and emotional conflicts of its superheroes, it's still at its core a lighthearted summer popcorn movie. Nolan's trying for something a lot heavier, locking in on and expanding the Batman myth's concern with the consequences faced by and tough decisions required from those charged with protecting the masses.

The Dark Knight Rises comes out July 20th and Big Hy should be ready to ship his first box of grainy bootlegs to Afghanistan by the end of the month.
