It's Comic-Con week in San Diego, so we're getting flooded with hype for next year's movies. No way was Marvel going to let DC have the last word with Batman, so today we've got the trailer for next summer's reboot called The Amazing Spider-Man.
Could we possibly need another retelling of the Spider-Man story only ten years after Marvel pretty much invented the modern superhero movie with the Tobey Maguire version? This trailer says yes. With direction by (500) Days of Summer's Marc Webb and The Social Network's Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, we may have a reason to watch what looks like an even-more-emo Spider-Man. Plus the visuals make it look like the line between movies and video games is about to get even more fuzzy.
The Amazing Spider-Man is due next July 3rd.
