Today is my husband's birthday, so he called me from Iraq and then we three-way called his mother so she could wish him a Happy Birthday as well. I sat silent on the phone while they talked.
Boy, you think that delay is hard to navigate when you're talking to your spouse? It's a hoot and a holler to listen to as a non-participant. Both people talk at the same time, and you can clearly hear what both of them are saying, but then there's a long pause and both people say, "What? Say again?" And then they both start talking again at the same time. Over and over. Hilarious.
That delay is so frustrating when you're the person talking, but man, is it funny to listen to.
