What's better than a shot at love on "The Bachelor"? How about some 19th-century, "Bridgerton"-style romance with country houses and hounds and corsets and knee-high riding boots?
Air Force veteran Danny Kim competed on "The Courtship," a new television series premiering on NBC on Sunday, March 6, 2002, at 8 p.m. ET/PT and streaming on Peacock the next day.
"The Courtship" stars Nicole Rémy as a young woman exhausted by modern dating rituals who wants to find a lasting love. NBC suggested that some fancy costumes and a trip to England might give her the answers she wanted, so off she went and now America will get a chance to find out whether this romantic experiment worked.
Rémy brings along her father, Claude; her mother, Claire; her sister, Danie; and her best friend, Tessa, so it's obvious that "The Courtship" wasn't designed to play out like "The Bachelor," its racier cousin over at ABC.

Capt. Kim gets a bit of screen time during that first-look video, and he seems like he's going to be very concerned with protecting Ms. Rémy's honor from any cads in the suitor group. Will his good intentions win her heart, or will she fall for a bad boy? You'll have to watch to find out.
Kim retired from the USAF as a captain and reinvented himself as a motivational speaker and lifestyle coach. He's rocking it on Instagram and Facebook and told NBC that the Will Smith movie "Hitch" inspired him to share his confidence secrets with other men.
Now, Capt. Kim is headed to the castle and ready for love. Check out his bold promise to bring the "Kdrama" to viewing audiences in this video he posted on TikTok and Facebook.
Will Danny be a good guy or a bad guy in this old-timey drama? Can he win Nicole's heart or will he be romantic roadkill in imaginary Regency-style England? Can't a veteran just get a break? All will be revealed on "The Courtship."
