Adele May Play Villain in 'The Secret Service'

British soul singer Adele is in talks to make her film acting debut in an upcoming espionage thriller starring Samuel L. Jackson and Colin Firth, The Sun said.

Based on a graphic novel by "Kick-Ass" creator Mark Millar, "The Secret Service" is to be helmed later this year by "X-Men: First Class" and "Layer Cake" director Matthew Vaughn, reported.

"Adele is exactly what Matthew is looking for," a source told The Sun on Sunday, in response to rumors claiming the recording artist is up for the villain role in the film. "He wants the highest-profile names in various fields to boost the film's cause and turn it into a mega-money franchise."

Adele, 25, had a cameo on TV's "Ugly Betty" in 2009. She won an Oscar this year for her song, "Skyfall," the theme for the latest James Bond adventure.
