The veteran unemployment rate is at its lowest in eight years. The October Bureau of Labor Statistics Report indicates that the veteran unemployment rate stood at just 3.9 percent, while non-veteran unemployment was 5.4 percent. The drop in veterans' unemployment probably stems from several factors, such as the economic upturn across the country, as well as the many layers of effort in the public and private sectors to hire veterans.
