The Marine Corps is renaming the office that manages and oversees the diversity of the force. The Equal Opportunity and Diversity Management Branch will now be called the Opportunity, Diversity and Inclusion Branch. The new name addresses the current roles and responsibilities of the branch and characterizes the Marine Corps' ongoing advocacy for building and maintaining an equitable, inclusive and effective organization, according to a recent administrative message. The office, it said, remains committed to leveraging the talents and capabilities of Marines through the administration of regulations and the promotion of leadership development initiatives.
