SureFire just launched its new Mega Lumens Monday, unveiling two new flashlights, each with 800 lumens of output.

“Today, as we near our 40th year in business, SureFire has rededicated itself and redoubled its efforts to achieve even higher outputs, longer run-times, and more reliability and durability,” according to SureFire officials.

Each Monday, SureFire will release a new product that “sets the standard in the illumination industry.”

The new G2X is a dual-output flashlight with MaxVision that features a high output of 800 lumens when you need blinding light and a low output of 15 lumens for routine tasks, according to SureFire.

The G2X leads with low output, but a second press or click of the tailcap delivers all 800 lumens of output within two seconds.

A lightweight but tough Nitrolon polymer body resists scratches, abrasion, and corrosion and is smoothly sculpted for a comfortable, secure grip, while the bezel is constructed of high- strength aerospace aluminum that’s hard anodized with a Mil-Spec finish.

The new single-output G2Z CombatLight is a no-nonsense workhorse designed and built specifically for tactical use.

A single push or click of its tailcap switch provides foolproof activation “under even the most stressful conditions, unleashing 800 blinding lumens of light shaped by a proprietary reflector into our wide, useful MaxVision Beam optimized for your field of vision, according to Surefire officials.

Featuring a newly designed 14 mm bezel, the G2Z-MV is even shorter and lighter in weight than its predecessor. Otherwise it has all the same features that made the original G2Z such a great tactical light, including a lightweight, corrosion-proof Nitrolon polymer body that features SureFire’s CombatGrip design—a reduced-diameter mid-section and rubber grip ring that’s perfect for flashlight or handgun techniques and provides a secure hold with wet, cold, or gloved hands.

Both the G2X and the G2Z CombatLight retail for $120.
