The newly-formed Trailblazer Firearms recently announced the launch of its first firearm, LifeCard – a folding, single-shot .22 LR pistol that’s no bigger than a stack of business cards.

The LifeCard pistol features a tilt-up barrel, bolt and trigger made of steel with an Isonite finish for corrosion resistance. It has a sleek frame and grip are constructed from fully-machined aluminum billet that’s hard-coat black anodized.

The pistol weighs 7 ounces and measures 3.375 inches by 2.125 inches by .5 inches. It features an ammo storage compartment in handle for 4 rounds.

Headquartered in Asheville, North Carolina, “Trailblazer Firearms fully intends to spearhead innovative new firearms products starting with the LifeCard, available later this month,” Aaron Voigt, President of Trailblazer Firearms, said in a recent press release. “New designs and true innovation have been the exception and our goal is to be the pioneer laying new trails for gun enthusiasts, designers and manufacturers.”

One of six kids, Voigt served in both the Marine Corps and the U.S. Army.  Always the gun enthusiast, Voigt came up with the idea of a unique pistol. The idea slowly became a dream and a long drawn out reality as Voigt tackled the jungle of patents, trademarks, prototyping, machining, licensing and marketing.

“Initially, I had no idea that going from concept to actual product would take seven years, but in essence, that time spent was valuable and will show in every aspect of this remarkable product, Voigt said. “I am looking forward to putting this pistol on the market and can’t thank my family and friends enough for all the support and patience.

“We expect product to hit our distributors, Ellett Brothers and Jerry’s Sport Center, in about three weeks. We look forward to the feedback from our customers regarding our initial product offering and look forward to continually innovating new products.”

The LifeCard pistol is scheduled to retail for $400 and shop by Mid-August.
