The U.S. Army Project Manager Soldier Weapons has a new leader.

Col. Brian C. Stehle, a career Army aviator, assumed command of PMSW from Col. Scott C. Armstrong, in August, but for some reason, Program Executive Office Soldier announced it in a Nov. 10 PEO Soldier Blog post.

Stehle most recently served as product manager for the AH-64 Apache Block 3/Apache Development and Modernization under the Program Executive Office Aviation at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.

He will now oversee Army small arms development including the service’s Modular Handgun System competition.
