Camp Lejeune Marine Charged With Trafficking Ecstasy, LSD

A Camp Lejeune Marine has been arrested and charged with trafficking LSD and MDMA, a party drug also known as Ecstasy, according to local media reports.

Cpl. David Pena, 20, was taken into custody during a traffic stop Tuesday following a controlled package delivery containing the drugs, WITN, a Greenville, N.C., news station, reported. He is charged with trafficking MDMA by possession, trafficking MDMA by transportation, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver/ MDMA, trafficking LSD by possession, trafficking LSD by transportation, conspiracy to traffic MDMA, maintaining a vehicle to store controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Homeland Security and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service assisted Onslow County deputies during the operation.

Pena, of Los Angeles, is assigned to Headquarters and Support Battalion at Camp Lejeune, WITN reported. He was remanded on a $90,000 secure bond.
