Marine Sniper Shoots Taliban with M110

US Marines on the first day of Operation Moshtarak. Operation Moshtarak was an offensive in the area that is described as the "poppy-growing belt" of Helmand Province in southern Afghanistan. The combat operations started on February 13, 2010 These marines were dropped off in the center of a town called Marjah, at the time it was one of the most volatile towns in all of Afghanistan. Within minutes, Taliban militants began getting dropped off on motorcycles all around them. They were surrounded but under the rules of engagement, were unable to fire until fired upon. After some intense firefights, these marines set up to ambush the retreating Taliban. A Marine Sniper then engages the Taliban with an M110 SASS(Semi-Automatic Sniper System)

The SEaLs are our best sailors.. Far better than the Army or Marines. Why do we even have the marines when we have SEALS?

    (a) The training is too difficult for 90% of those who try (b) We need conventional forces and other roles than just a group of only 2000 commandoes (c) An idiot like you (no offense) would never understand or qualify

No wonder there is so much PTSD. Killing anyone or being in a position of being killed if you are not a killer in the first place has to be traumatic. Having that on your mind for the rest of your life has to have as much care we can give those guys for doing what they do. Thanks guys from me and my friends for your sacrifice.

Variety is the spice of life and we are blessed with an ample amount of talent to go around the five branches of the service. Semper Fidelis Marines, De Oppresso Liber Special Forces, and God bless each and everyone of them.
