Female Afghan Pilot Makes a First

Afghan Air Force (AAF) 2nd Lt. Niloofar Rhmani made history by becoming the first Afghan female fixed-wing pilot to fly a combat mission. Rhmani flew in a Cessna 208, accompanied by U.S. Air Force Capt. Aaron Marx, 438th Air Expeditionary Advisory Group executive officer and AAF pilot advisor, transporting Afghanistan Ministry of Defense passengers from Kabul International Airport to Kandahar Airfield.

    Although I have my reservations about the Afghan army and police being they have been killing our people I am also happy to see a change for the better as far as things like this being changed so women can serve their country as well as the men.
