Religious Extremists Attack with Axes

    (Wall Street Journal) - BEIJING — Chinese state television showed a teenage suspect confessing to an ax attack on a game room in China's western Xinjiang region and saying he had been persuaded by an accomplice to wage holy war. The attack is one of a series in China since October that suggests that some members of the region's mostly Muslim Uighur ethnic group are being influenced by Islamic extremism.
