Sharpshooters at best, definitely not snipers. Pretty lame video, just wasted almost seven minutes of my evening.

Why are Blackwater private security forces engaging insurgents in this way. I thought they were a defensive force for escorting and such? Looks more like a human gofer/varmint shoot to me. They should have called in the military to handle this. Observe and report unless attacked or protecting clients or officials.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Why is this being shown on military.com? I would much rather read a report about them rather than see civilians attempting to do what military is trained to do. U.S. Civilians don't belong on the line! Perfect example of how Fed Govt has allowed the private sector to be allowed into the war. If you think civilians should be in there then I think you too are a jkars. Have a nice day...

That was not a sniper. Barely a professional soldier. What a disgrace.

Let's not forget that th many of these blackwater guys are ex military special operators who trained and fought right next to us but are simply under a different command now yet fighting the same enemy. I urge you to be careful about using words like "disgrace" when referring to a man putting himself in the line of fire to protect those behind him. We all took an oath to honor our country our unit and our fellow soldiers.

As a private contractor, we can often do the jobs without all the B.S. that goes with the work. We're all on the same team. Remember that.

C'mon people. I personaly know some of these security contractors and they are top notch prior service or elite law enforcement experience people. Actually, most of these are far more skilled and experience than some of my fellow soliders within my unit. Bottom, we are all on the same team, and just like NFL Football, you get what you pay for. I know some people in the military who dont give a crap about putting thier life on the line because they feel under paid and bitter about deployment etc. Private security contracting has been going since the Roman Empire days when Ceasar would have his elite Praetorians protect him and his staff. The Praetorians were in fact elite "mercenaries" not part of the military system to provide the highest level of protection at a higher wage. No matter how you are sworn in to potect this country in military, law enforcement or even a U.S. Citizen, we can all do our part. Let it go people.

That was Travis Haley, he's a 4th Force Recon Marine, he taught at Magpul Dynamics until just a while back. He left to start his own company.

I gotta echo the sentiments of some others. Calling these guys most of whom are former special operators a disgrace is stupid. I'd rather have these guys on my side than a lot of you "PC" soldiers. Hey I got an idea, lets invite em' into the compound and have some chai and talk about our lawns....idiots. Remember, these insurgents dont care who you are, they'd rather slit your throat.

The sniper is Travis Haley, a Force Recon Marine. As far as I know he never worked for Blackwater so this video may be mis-labeled.

For anyone who thinks these guys are just your average joe civilians... ya they aren't, hiring PMC's allows us to kill more of the enemy since the politicians stick strict ROE on the military that endangers the soldiers.
