Soldier Rocks Star Spangled Banner

Love it. Source: U.S. soldier Beau Embrey plays the Star Spangled Banner on his electric guitar during prayer time in Afghanistan. Just in case your unsure that it was prayer time (Matthew Frost was there): https://www.facebook.com/photo.php? v=2590713942970&;amp;set=vb.1708260870& type=2&theater

It is disrespectful and reflects poorly on the military and the US. Playing our anthem during prayer time will only create hate against us and more enemies. We are supposed to be helping in Afghanistan not adding fuel to the fire. Disappointed.

That's terribly rude and disrespectful to the people of that country. Not all are rebels or terrorists there. That's like saying all Christians are just like the Westboro Babtist Church and stand for what they believe in. As for his playing...from someone who is actually a guitar player in an official Army Band; It was sloppy, rushed, and awful. So congratulations. This guy disrespected an entire religion and his very own country by butchering the melody to hell. I'm all for rocking out to the Star Spangled Banner, in fact, I have had to do it many times for my job. But this was a disaster.
