Objective Avalanche - LZ Heroes
Level Zero Heroes: Filmed on March 8, 2010 in the village of Burida, Afghanistan (Bala Morghab Valley). MARSOC, Team 8222 and ANA Soldiers conducted a night-time clearing operation to disrupt and eliminate an IED making cell. GySgt. Robert Gilbert was severely wounded during this operation and later died from his wounds on March 16, 2010. The Taliban cell leader who was also the chief IED maker died 5 days later from a gunshot wound to the torso (stomach) sustained during this firefight. This Taliban cell was responsible for the deaths of SGT Dillon Foxx, SPC Matthew Huston and SPC Josiah Crumpler (Task Force Proffessional). - LZH
