A-10s Support 90 Pinned Troops

A-10s come in for air support in eastern Afghanistan where 90 Coalition Forces are being pinned down. Using 30mm gatling guns, the pilot had to choose his targets, while taking fire, in nearly zero visibility. Watch to see what happens next.

Good thing the AF didn't scrap all their Warthogs.

Great story! Just always cracks me up how these morons attack our troops but when the A10's or Apache's, or UAV's, or more troops to support show up they run like hell. Yet publicly they always boast that they want to fight to the death. Countless videos on the Internet from sources all over the world confirm this cowardly manner of theirs. Good work troops, KILL MORE OF THEM!!!

Gents and Ladies I was a Nukie with the 41 and have not seen the fury you face daily. We did feel the envy of other services and brain power of Presidents and backroom experts sending orders to us grunts. Did not work then and today??? If the Air Force does not want a slow, low tech, effective people saver give to the Army and the Marines. They proved the close air support in WWII, Korea and Nam. Let the Air Force stand back while the Army and Marines come back with pieces of tank and truck stuck in the aircraft and smelling like fireworks. When the people need help they need it now and hanging around for what comes next. The A10 is a PROVEN, EFFECTIVE, POWERFUL AND COST EFFECTIVE TROUBLE SHOOTER.
