As an old rotorhead myself, I think the pilot did an excellent job in attempting autorotation w/o tail rotor. Interesting watching physics at work. Looked survivable.

Looks like this aviator wrote the check ride book on autorotation w/o tail rotor assistance for directional stability. Nothing like walking away from an incident like this one.
