School Buys Military Rifles for Defense
The Fontana Unified School District is arming its school police with new high-performance rifles. The district bought 14 Colt rifles valued at $1,000 each. The weapons are designed to provide accuracy over long distances. "In the event of an active shooter on campus, this weapon provides our officers with the tools they need to respond appropriately and mitigate the loss of life," school police Chief Billy Green said.

An AR-15 is a "High Caliber Rifle" for "Long-Range Shooting"? It's a .22 on steroids...always with the media hype.
Once again, media shooting there mouths off without doing there homework. Like riot said ".22 on steroids" is right on the money. also these are LE 6920s. Also, whats the purpose of hem if there in safes? "oh gee hang on a sec before you start, let me go get my rifle from my safe"....
I think that the people that are reporting these stories should have a basic handle on guns, and how they work before they can report about it.
