Special Tactics Combat Controller POV

FacebookXPinterestEmailEmailEmailShare

Combat controllers are the Air Force's premier ground special operations force, and U.S. Special Operation's air integration force. They deploy into austere and hostile conditions through land, air and sea, to establish air field landing zones and drop zones, communicating with air assets to provide air control and precision air strikes for special operations ground forces. This background roll package includes footage of combat controllers controlling a C-130's landing approach on an austere landing zone; calling in precision air strikes during a night mission in Afghanistan with U.S Army Special Forces; engaging with insurgents in a fire fight; military free fall out of a MC-130 Talon II into the water; water helocasting, or infiltrating and exfiltrating methods by jumping out of a helicopter and climbing back in; and water confidence.
