The US Navy SEAL & SWCC Scout Team is the Official Recruiting Directorate for Naval Special Warfare. These videos are intended to provide a small glimpse into the training pipeline, preparing potential candidates for training. Please visit for more information. SEAL Qualification Training is designed to provide students with the core tactical knowledge they will need to join a SEAL platoon. It is the intermediate skills course that prepares students for the advanced training they will receive once they arrive at a SEAL Team. SQT includes weapons training, small unit tactics, land navigation, demolitions, cold weather training in Kodiak, Alaska, medical skills and maritime operations. Before graduation, students also attend Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape training and qualify in both static-line and freefall parachute operations. Upon completing these requirements, trainees receive their SEAL Trident, designating them as Navy SEALs. They are subsequently assigned to a SEAL Team to begin preparing for their first deployment.
