OORAH. DI's are so much worse
I don't know where this the Army DI footage was taken, but it looked like they knew they were being filmed and possibly holding back. When the Marine DI's were being filmed a lot of the more aggressive treatment was from hidden camera's. One looked like it was from a cell phone on top of a bunk or locker. When I went through Army basic and AIT in Ft Leonard wood MO (16 weeks) we were treated just like the the Marine DI's treated their troops in this video. They would have two or three DI's in your face if you screwed up and they would be screaming at the top of their lungs, spraying spit all over you. If one person screwed up, all of us were (dogged). We would do mountain climbers, squat thrusts, running in place and push ups until we started puking. And we had to YELL "YES SERGEANT!" as loud as we could or we would get dropped and do 50 4 count push ups. They would be jumping around like they were going to have an aneurism when they got pissed off just like these Marine DI's. When we were around the public they would back off and wouldn't be as brutal. That's my experience. 8 Years Combat Engineer.
