Russian anti-Submarine Ship Catches Fire

    According to a Russian navy spokesman, on November 4 a large Russian anti-submarine ship "Kerch" caught fire in the port of Sevastopol and burned an area of 80 square meters. The military used three firefighting boats and battled the blaze for several hours before it was extinguished. The ship is also equipped with weapons and ammunition, but fortunately no casualties. Kerch is a Kara-class missile cruiser of the Soviet and later Russian Navy. The cruiser is in active service with the Russian Black Sea Fleet as of 2011.
