Twin Marines Surprised by Homecoming

    TAMPA - It was a homecoming fit for heroes, two Marines back just in time for Christmas. But this celebration at Tampa International Airport was twice as nice. Twin brothers Jake and Max Gauthier returned home for the holidays, for the first time since both were injured in Afghanistan. “I'm pretty blown away. I didn't expect this at all actually,” said Max. “It's pretty crazy.” The reception also caught his twin Jake a little off guard. “It makes me proud to do what we have done,” he said. “It's awesome.” Earlier this year, Jake's face was injured after he was hit by shrapnel. Three weeks later, Max suffered a devastating injury. He stepped on an Improvised Explosive Device causing him to lose his right leg.
