T90 a better tank? Hahahahahahahhaahahahahaha! *wipes tears from eyes* I love inventive journalism. The T90 is outdated even by Russian army standards, and these standards are pretty low!

So what is the actual truth in the comparison between the Abrams M1 A and the Russian T-90, they sure made a lot of claims in the video. But how much is actual bull shit, 1st all this other so called more advanced hardware that they have, for one how much of that can they really fit into a much smaller turret and chassis, and with a tighter defense budget than us, I can not believe they could build more than just one. That they keep showing off everywhere, the whole idea that it is superior to much to swallow. They have always been good at producing one model that can compete, the rest are usually just shells with none of that hardware they were boasting about, So please clarify and give me the straight truth on this comparison, I do not believe their claims, but if Obama cuts the defense budget any more it could become a reallity that we can not afford

The first poster is correct. But the whole comparison is moot, T90 was originally designed as a whole different beast. T90 is a medium tank, while the Abrams is a heavy... and that difference in HUGE, especially when it comes to protection, Abrams is around 20 tons(!!) heavier, and most of that weight is armor. And yes, anybody who is first hand familiar with the current Russian military will tell you, while the hardware is good it's VERY VERY old. They are still using tanks that were produced in the 70s and 80s, and there is only so much you can do with models that old. Also if I'm not mistaken the T90 has a major security flaw, the spare ammo is actually inside with the crew, and obviously if it starts cooking for whatever reason... unidentifiable chunks of meat is the result. Although I'm not sure if I'd call the Russian defense budget tight, especially lately. One of their problems is the lack of industrial capacity(don't confuse today's Russia with USSR.) They don't have any factories capable of making hardware of this type, and setting up initial production is always the most expensive bit. All in all, Russia has the potential to catch up, if they feel the need to do so.
