Take Flight with the Tornado

Great footage of BAE Systems' Tornado in flight. As shown by its most recent use in action over Libya in 2011, the Tornado remains a highly capable frontline aircraft, 30 years after it first went into service. It was originally developed by the UK, Germany and Italy during the 1960s and 1970s and the Tornado is currently in service with the UK Royal Air Force and the air forces of Germany, Italy and Saudi Arabia. Through its life the twin-engine combat aircraft has received a number of upgrades — hence its longevity. In the UK these capability upgrades have included the integration of the Paveway IV precision guided bomb and a defensive aid pod, both of which have been deployed in recent years on operations in Afghanistan.
