HMLA-469 Air Interdiction Force

U.S. Marines with the air interdiction force (AIF) assigned to Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 469, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, conduct Operation Aero Hunter with other Regional Command (Southwest) elements in Helmand province, Afghanistan Sept. 7, 2012. AIF was used as a quick reaction force in support of counter-insurgency operations in southern Helmand.
