TRICARE Prime fees and access to military and civilian care providers.
Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta gave a sneak peak at the DoD's proposed FY2013 budget and his long term plan to reduce defense spending by approximately $259 billion over the next five years. The proposed budget includes a plan to tier enrollment fees based on a retiree's rank. In addition, TRICARE Doctors face a 27 percent cut in TRICARE payment rates this year. As a result, many doctors are considering limiting the number of TRICARE patients they serve.
