Texas Veterans Grant Awarded
Week of April 19, 2010
The Texas Veterans Commission awarded a $1 million grant to the Texas Veterans of Foreign Wars Foundation to be distributed to veterans experiencing financial hardship. Veterans across the state of Texas are encouraged to apply for emergency assistance with mortgage and rent payments, food assistance, utility payments and other basic needs.
