The 2009 National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans is Feb. 8-14, 2009. To deliver a valentine to your local VA hospital, you can find the address in your local telephone directory or by visiting visit the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) website and selecting your state from the map. If you do not live close enough to a VA facility to drop off your valentines in person, you can send them by postal mail at the hospital's address in the directory. Last year, more than 1 million valentines were received at VA medical centers across the country, and 25,688 caring individuals visited more than 56,398 veteran patients during the National Salute Week.
