Operation Comfort Needs Your Vote

The American Legion family has raised more than $300,000 to purchase comfort items for U.S. troops recovering in hospitals and warrior transition units around the globe as part of their Operation Comfort. Now the Legion has an opportunity to nearly double what has been raised so far. Pepsi Cola is offering a $250,000 grant to the top two charities (based on votes) as part of its  Pepsi RefreshEverything project. There are 729 charities competing and as of Feb. 1, Operation Comfort Warriors is 21st in votes. The American Legion is asking people to go to the Pepsi RefreshEverything website and vote. The refresheverything grant can make a difference in the lives of hundreds of our disabled troops.
