Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty unveiled last week a nearly 75 million-dollar military aid package that includes a Minnesota G-I bill that would let thousands of veterans and their family members go to public universities in Minnesota for free. The plan would also eliminate state income taxes on military pay and pensions. The plan will be part of Pawlenty's budget proposal later this month.
