The Military Affairs Council of the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce semi-annual "Military Job Fair of Virginia" will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Hampton Roads Convention Center, Hampton, Virginia. This "FREE" event is designed to provide active duty, retired, transitioning military personnel, their dependents, reservists, and DOD personnel the opportunity to network with more than 125 potential employers from a variety of companies from all over the country. The Military Job Fair, hosted by the Military Affairs Council of the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce and the Military Family Support Centers' Employment Programs, includes seminars specifically aimed at the job seeker and provides additional opportunities to interact with employers. The seminars include: How to Work a Job Fair; Employers' Panel: What We Look For; Federal Employment System; Job Searching on the Internet; and Starting Your Own Business.
