Job Training Grants for Veterans
Week of July 06, 2009
The Department of Labor awarded 98 grants, totaling more than $25 million, to provide approximately 15,000 veterans with job training to help them succeed in civilian careers. The grants are being awarded under the U.S. Department of Labor's Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRP). Grantees under the HVRP program network coordinate their efforts with various local, state and federal social service providers. For more information on the DOL's unemployment and re-employment programs for veterans, visit the Department of Labor website. A listing of the HVRP Grantees is available on the DoL website.
