The Navy now offers full-honors funerals for all Sailors who died of wounds received in action and who are being interred, inurned or memorialized at Arlington National Cemetery (ANC). The new changes will extend these honors, once reserved for only flag-level personnel or Medal of Honor recipients, to every Sailor (E-1 to O-10) who was killed in action and chose to be buried in ANC. Coordination will be with the designated Person Authorized to Direct Disposition (PADD). Naval District Washington, in liaison with ANC, is tasked with coordinating the dates of availability for the full-honors funeral.
